ELV Processing
End of life vehicles contain chemicals which can be bad for the environment, but Alpha cars are carefully removing the chemical and disposing of them inline with the government legislation
The aim of this is to reduce waste and the risk of pollution from vehicles and promote re-use and recycling of materials and components
The process basically involves two main functions:
-
The recovery of all positive components and fluids that may be recycled and re-used (e.g. fuels, oils, coolants, ferrous and non-ferrous metal components, etc.), and also
- The removal of all those negative elements of a vehicle that are potentially harmful to the environment (e.g. tyres, mercury switches, airbags, etc).
